AB Oceankompaniet / AB Atlanttrafik

  
 

1946 Broström and Ångfartygs Trelleborg AB, formed a joint shipping company named AB Atlanttrafik.

This was a big reefer company which both sides took at 50/50 basis.

Vessels was registered in Trelleborg AB Ångfartygs while Brostrom formed a separate company / shipping company for their ships; AB Oceankompaniet.

AB Oceankompaniet was in Svenska Orient Linien who also administered the shipping company.

Vessels operated primarily West Indian, South America and Australia, where they loaded bananas and meat to Europe.

 
Over the years, many of the ships was in T/C for other companies, including the Johnson Line. The
collaboration lasted 30 years, when the last Swedish vessel was sold 1976
